The concept we have chosen is “A Day in the Life.”
We will host a 2-day meeting. Thursday will focus on the day of a Supervisor and Friday will focus on the day of a Postmaster.
Our training will be structured to cover the basic duties, checklists, and hot topic issues. We will have some role-play and interactive activities.
Officers from both Alabama and Mississippi are working together to ensure the training is relevant and on point. Some of the topics will be daily duties/checklists, communication, time management, peak planning, starting a new FY, monthly, quarterly, and yearly inspections, safety and security.
We encourage supervisors to attend Thursday and Postmasters on Friday. All members are welcome (one or both days) as they choose but the training will be geared accordingly. If you have a suggestion for training, please contact one of the state officers.
